One Word

I haven’t written a blog post for awhile. There are times during this pandemic that I have nothing to say. My heart hurts for all of those who have lost loved ones and I feel that none of my wisdom helps when so many of us are grieving. As we roll into this new year, however, most of us are feeling a renewed sense of hope. This has to end at some point, right? The vaccine is here but it will take time to slow this virus down. So for now I know one thing to do: keep going!

A dear friend sent me an inspiring gift this week, a book titled One Word that will change your life by Jon Gordon, Dan Britton and Jimmy Page. They write about finding your word for the year and the deep impact holding One Word in your head, heart and mind can have.

Here is their 3 step process:

  1. Prepare your heart.
  2. Discover your word.
  3. Live your word.

Once you discover what your word is they encourage you to create a “Stretch Team” who is your inner circle of family and friends to encourage, motivate and celebrate your success of living out your one word.

I have a few ideas in my head that will be my word for 2021. I’m excited to sit down and read this book to arrive at the one. And even though this photo says Choose Your Words, keep it to one! That is where the power lies!

Hopefully, you will join me on this fun adventure! Who knows what this year will bring.

Much love,

Peg
